In North Macedonia, rangers and nature conservation experts are today experiencing the conclusion of our intensive training sessions on the use of the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool in cooperation with SMART-Partnership. A short review from rangers and trainers who took part.
At the end of the five-day training programme for around 20 rangers and nature conservation experts from a dozen countries in Europe and around the world, here are a few comments from participants and trainers.
One thing is certain: it was five days packed with hands-on knowledge on how the participants can use the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool SMART at home to make their work for the protection of wildlife and natural habitats more effective and safer.
The training programme, in cooperation with SMART Partnership, delved into the configuration, customisation and implementation of this technological tool to measure trends in wildlife populations and improve the management of species and natural areas.
Digital tools like SMART are taking the work of the world’s rangers to the next level. We would like to thank SMART Partnership and everyone involved for making our training such a success!
