On All Saints Day (1st November 2018) – a group of Slovak rangers gathered to light a candle for their fallen colleagues at this memorial dedicated to European Rangers in the Považský Inovec mountains.
The memorial had been unveiled on World Ranger Day this year and over the past few months it has attracted the interest of passing visitors and hikers to whom the local rangers have repeatedly told the story of the world’s rangers and about what it takes to be a ranger.
