Working Strategies for Rangers in a rapidly changing World

We are very pleased to announce that the 5th European Ranger Congress will take place this October.

Originally scheduled for 2020, it had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Now we are looking forward to a new edition in Tirana, Albania, from 14 to 16 October with 13 October as the day of arrival.

The following contents are currently planned:

• Presentations and workshops on national and international ranger work in protected areas with a focus on networking and the topic “Biodiversity in Europe”.
• Excursions to Shebenik (beech forests) and Divjake (marshlands)
• Fundraising ideas for ranger associations
• Establishing a ranger association, explained using the example of Salvador and the support provided by the Bavarian Forest National Park
• Working with volunteers: a case study
• Drones as tools for ranger work
• Working together in the ERF: teamwork between national associations, single rangers and the ERF
• Image work for Europe’s rangers
